A classic game running on a PIC32 MCU

As a group of three, we created a new take on a classic. Making use of freely available MIDI tracks, our game synthesizes track audio using direct digital synthesis onboard the PIC32 MCU. Additionally, a custom UI is displayed, showing falling notes and a virtual fret board on a 2.2” onboard TFT over SPI. A custom, laser-cut guitar controller features toggle switches for strumming and push buttons as frets.
