5G Research

Investigating the fifth generation of cellular networks

I recently finished up my Masters in Engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. As part of the graduation requirements, candidates are expected to work on a design or research project in an area of their choosing. My project, entitled “5G Deployment in the United States: Considerations, Challenges, and Concerns with a Focus on End-User Experience,” dealt with the practicalities and expectations of 5G deployments across America.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be collecting some of my research and expanding on it with real-world data from field tests and retrospective lookbacks over mobile network evolution’s second order effects on Internet access as a whole.
